Meet Leigh! At just 15 Leigh had the opportunity to get out and try her hand at being an electrician through a high school work program and she’s been rocking it ever since. Here’s her story: “So my story started at school, I had to choose something to do for 2 weeks of work experience. I had literally no ideas what to do so at the last minute I randomly chose a company name on the sheet to select from. It was an electricians company, I though oh okay, something different. Cool. I spent the two weeks brushing up (I know what electrician actually cleans up after themselves 😂) and making the brews but even as a 15 year old girl I enjoyed the pranks and banter. I was then offered an apprenticeship by the same company as I was leaving school- this was during the recession so I was very lucky. Fast forward 13 years and I’m still going strong 💪🏼”
