Veronica – Ranch Hand

Meet Veronica!

Her hard work and dedication to the agricultural industry has been undying. Agriculture and farming are no joke, it demands long hours, little vacation and the ability to be everything from a mechanic to a carpenter, you’re learning it all. This is her story:

“My name is Veronica and I’ve been working on a ranch in Nevada since I was 14 years old! I was surrounded by agriculture growing up and was given the opportunity to drive heavy machinery before I even had my drivers permit! I am so grateful that a very trusting farmer believed in me before I ever realized I was capable of such responsibility. I have now been cutting hay in this Swather for 10 years and love absolutely every second of it! Since then I have learned how to cut and bale hay, harvest grain, drive old Johnny Poppers, and even tried my hand at welding. Farming has taught me the value of hard work and dedication in the face of bad weather, drought, and long hours. Our day often starts at 4am only to end at 10pm. I can now say that I’ve been blessed to learn from some incredible men who taught me the value of good honest work and how to laugh even when we’d rather cry.”
